Arsenal face a battle to keep hold of Lucas Torreira with the midfielder wanted by AC Milan and Napoli.
The Uruguayan only joined the Gunners from Sampdoria less than 18 months ago for £27m.
But Torreira is unsettled in north London and is considering a move away from the Emirates Stadium, reports The Sun .
Both Milan and Napoli are considering 18-month loan deals for the 23-year-old with the option to make the move permanent.
Torreira initially impressed for Arsenal at the base of the midfield with his grunt endearing him to the club’s fans.
But Unai Emery has deployed him in a more forward-thinking role which Torreira is unhappy about – something the Uruguayan’s agent, Pablo Bentancur, admitted was an issue.
He said: “I must say the change of role has hurt him. He is no longer at ease and we hope that things can change.
“We have no problem with Arsenal, only words of thanks. Clearly there is interest in him.
“I have never sat down with any club to talk about a transfer. This is because of the great respect we have for the Gunners.
“We sat down with Arsenal’s general manager and he immediately told us that Torreira wasn’t for sale.”
The Arsenal midfielder has made over 60 appearances already and he isn’t the only Gunner Milan are considering.
Outcast Granit Xhaka, who has not been seen since his public outburst in Arsenal’s draw with Crystal Palace last month, is on the Rossoneri’s radar with Emery confessing the Swiss star may not feature again.
Everton’s Moise Kean, who has not had the desired affect having moved from Juventus in the summer, is another player on the Italian club’s radar.
Milan made moves to sign the forward when it became clear he was on the move, but were beaten to his signature by the Toffees.
