Alright! This Apple event is about to begin. We’ll be updating this story as new products are announced.
What you’ll probably see:
Two new Apple Watches, including a “budget” Apple SE.
A new iPad Air with smaller bezels.
And, seeing as Apple is releasing new Apple Watches, it makes sense it would make watchOS 7 widely available.
Waaaait … what about the iPhone 12? According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, that won’t make an appearance until October when we’ll do this entire thing all over again.
What might make an appearance:
Will Apple release iOS 14 now? Or wait until it unveils the iPhone 12?
Bloomberg reported that Apple will sell a subscription bundle called Apple One. It will let you subscribe to Apple Music and Apple TV+ in the least expensive tier, and upgrade plans with Apple Arcade and Apple News+.
What we hope Apple will release:
OK, it’s starting. Let’s see what Apple CEO Tim Cook has for us this year…
Right off the bat, Tim Cook says Apple will focus on two products during this event: Apple Watch and iPad. Guess Mark Gurman was right!
Cook is walking around Apple’s spaceship campus introducing anecdotes from people about how Apple Watch saved their lives. (As our writer Rachel Kraus noted, Apple doesn’t outright claim that the Apple Watch saves lives.)
And we have the Apple Watch Series 6!
Apple says its new app can measure your blood oxygen concentration in 15 seconds. It says it can give you an overall picture of your heart and lung health.
Check back soon! This story will be continuously updated throughout the Apple event.
