BrewDog is opening a brand new beer-themed hotel in the UK complete with beer on tap in the rooms, as well as an in-shower mini fridge filled with beer, if you fancy a drink while you lather up.
The new hotel will be in Edinburgh, and will of course include an on-site bar.
One of the company’s founders James Watt revealed the news on Twitter this week, writing: “Announcing the @BrewDog DogHouse Edinburgh. An amazing beer hotel & bar in the heart of Scotland’s capital. Expect beer on tap in all the rooms, mini-bars filled with the best beers in the planet & fridges in the shower for shower beers.”
There’s no confirmed opening date for the new hotel yet, although we know it will be in Q3.
There are also plans to build a DogHouse hotel in Manchester, complete with a rooftop bar, in-room beer taps and more, with this hotel due to open in summer 2021.
This isn’t the company’s first foray into the UK hotel industry.
Craft beer fans can (when restrictions allow) book stays at the BrewDog Kennels in Aberdeen where there are similar offerings (including the in-room beers and shower fridges) as well as quirky touches such as a beer book library.
Outside of the UK, there is already a DogHouse hotel in Columbus, Ohio, although the brand had previously revealed to plans to build a larger site in London. Just like its Columbus counterpart, the London hotel will have its own on-site museum, where guests can learn about the history of the brand as well as the beers themselves and the brewing process.
