Chelsea may have spent the most out of all the Premier League clubs during the summer transfer window, but there could still be incomings and outgoings at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues look more likely to offload some of their current crop at this stage of the window, with several players seeking the exit door.
Frank Lampard has snapped up all of his targets this summer in an expensive window for The Blues, but could he be tempted back into the market in the coming days?
As Monday’s European transfer deadline draws closer, here are the latest stories concerning the Blues in our transfer round-up.
Bayern boss full of praise for Hudson-Odoi
Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick has confirmed his club’s interest in Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi – and described the youngster as “one of the biggest talents in that position”.
The 19-year-old started Chelsea’s 4-0 win against Crystal Palace on Saturday but his future is far from certain.
Chelsea rejected an initial loan offer potentially worth in excess of £70m if Bayern were to activate the option-to-buy clause included in the deal.
The Blues turned down offers from Bayern for Hudson-Odoi in 2018 and 2019, and he is contracted to remain with the Blues until 2024.
Flick said: “I don’t know what will happen, but he is one of the biggest talents in his position.
“So it is normal that a club like Bayern deals with him.”
Ex-Chelsea star: “Partey would be a fantastic signing”
Rio Ferdinand and Joe Cole both believe that Thomas Partey would be improve Chelsea’s midfield options.
The Atletico Madrid midfielder, who has been coveted by Arsenal during the summer transfer window, is reportedly a target for Chelsea boss Frank Lampard.
Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand told BT Sport: “I don’t think he (Lampard) is happy with the likes of Kovacic or Jorginho.
“You can see that because he’s chopping and changing in those positions.
“Getting someone like that (Partey) in to protect the back four or five along with (N’Golo) Kante goes a long way to nullifying goals against.”
Cole, who played for Chelsea between 2003 and 2010, added: “As soon as possible I think Frank wants to nail down the goalkeeping position and back four, and then he can just thinker with that midfield and Partey would be a fantastic signing.”
Lampard bust-up could see Inter swoop for Alonso
Inter Milan can only afford to sign Chelsea full-back Marcos Alonso on loan, according to Italian outlet Tuttosport via Sempre Inter.
The report claims that Alonso’s relationship with Blues boss Frank Lampard has entirely deteriorated after the Spaniard went directly to the coach when he was substituted at half-time during the 3-3 draw against West Bromwich Albion.
That, in turn, could help Inter’s position as the club – managed by ex-Chelsea chief Antonio Conte – cannot afford to sign the player outright.
A temporary move has been rejected by Chelsea although that could now change as they look to offload Alonso, 29, before the transfer window closes on Monday night.
Milan say no to Rudiger transfer
AC Milan have ruled out a move for Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger.
According to The Athletic, the Italians made an enquiry for the German international defender, who is out of favour at Stamford Bridge.
However, after being quoted a price, Milan deemed any potential transfer too expensive.
