Disneyland Paris Marvel hotel: everything we know so far from rooms to restaurants

Disneyland Paris has been teasing fans with plenty of glimpses inside its brand new Marvel themed hotel set to open in 2021.

Mickey Mouse’s French home will be opening new four-star hotel Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, which will be decked out to look like a ‘New York art gallery’ with heap of tributes to some of the franchise’s biggest superheroes.

The new hotel was originally due to open in 2020 but thanks to the pandemic, this has been delayed until 2021, although currently there isn’t a confirmed opening date.

Still, there’s already plenty to get excited from themed suites and restaurants to features including Iron Man’s suits and Captain America’s shield.

We’ve put together a guide with everything we know about the new hotel so far…

The rooms

The hotel’s standard rooms will be decked out in ‘Manhattan-style decor’ with sleek red and grey furnishings, as well as pops of colour thanks to superhero themed artwork adorning the walls, while the ‘Empire State’ rooms offer up a few extra luxuries such as more space and Iron Man tributes.

However, it’s the themed suites that have caught our attention, particularly the Spider-Man Suite with heaps of paintings of the superhero and the room’s colours paying tribute to his red and blue suit. There’s also a swish Avengers themed suite and a presidential suite that has two floors for those after a seriously luxurious stay.

The entertainment

Well, unsurprisingly there will be plenty of meet and greets with all of your favourite superheroes from Black Widow to Spider-Man – and this will be the only Disney hotel where they make an appearance.

Other highlights will include the Marvel Design Studios where children can learn to draw their very own comic books, as well as the Metro Pool, a swimming pool inspired by New York’s world-famous subway.

The hotel will also feature heaps of Marvel themed artwork, complete with three life-size Iron Man suits as well as Captain America’s iconic shield.

With over 300 items on display including some exclusive and never-before-seen pieces, the hotel will boast one of the largest collections of Marvel artwork in the world.

The restaurants

The hotel will feature two main restaurants. The Manhattan Restaurant will be inspired by Thor’s home of Asgard – so expect plenty of golden tones – not to mention it will boast a huge luminous sculpture shaped like a chandelier.

Meanwhile, the Downtown Restaurant created by the Imagineers will be inspired by New York City delis, not to mention there will be over 90 sketches by Marvel designers.

For those after a tipple, the Skyline Bar will be designed to leave guests feeling as if they’re actually sipping cocktails atop of an NYC skyscraper.

New Avengers themed land

It’s not just the new hotel where fans can get their Marvel fix. Disneyland Paris is opening a brand new Avengers Campus at its Walt Disney Studios Park, complete with a Spider-Man ride.

The ride – WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure – will see visitors boarding vehicles and embarking on an adventure with Spider-Man as he takes on an army of Spider-Bots.
