Emerald Waterways unveils glamorous river cruises for 2022 as bookings open early

Emerald Waterways is giving us wanderlust as the river cruise brand just opened up bookings for sailings in 2022.

There are some pretty glamorous itineraries on offer too from foodie-inspired trips to the Douro Valley in Portugal, sailings along the Rhine with ports of call in historic hotspots, and even some long-haul destinations such as Vietnam and Cambodia.

The company says it has opened bookings earlier than planned after it saw ‘rising demand’ from its passengers.

Packages will include your return flights, transfers, all tipping and gratuities, all on board meals and insightful excursions and experiences.

The cruise line also currently has a sale on until the 31st October 2020, which includes savings of up to £1,000 per couple and complimentary Premium Drinks packages.

You can find out more or book the 2022 sailings on the Emerald Waterways website.

It’s worth noting that during the pandemic, the Foreign Office advises against cruise ship travel, although this does not currently include river cruises, as the advice applies to ‘sea-going’ ships.

However, you should check the latest FCDO cruise advice before booking, planning or going on a trip.

During the pandemic, the brand has launched Cruise with Confidence policy outlining health and safety measures it is taking for its passengers and crew members.

Of course, the coronavirus pandemic has also meant that travel restrictions can change at short notice.

If you book an Emerald Waterways cruise but new restrictions mean you’re unable to travel, the cruise line, part of The Scenic Group, is offering booked guests vouchers valued at 100% of the money paid to date, for future travel.

This voucher can be used on any new or existing bookings for any sailings with The Scenic Group, through to the 31st December 2023.

Passengers can alternatively request a full refund.
