‘Enough Is Enough’: A ‘Wall’ of Veterans Joins Portland Protesters

A group of military vets formed a wall on the front lines of protests in Portland, Ore., a week after federal officers struck a Navy Veteran who said he approached them to ask a question.

[call and response chant] “Whose streets?” “Our streets!” “Our veterans are here specifically to support the rights of the protesters to protest. That’s the only thing we’re good for.” [call and response chant] “Whose streets?” “Our streets!” Reporter: “What’s been your impressions or thoughts about the federal presence here?” “It’s wrong. I mean, things were getting better, and then they came here and made it worse. Beating the tar out of moms, disabled vets, minorities. Enough’s enough.” [loud bangs, sounds of protest]
