Gulliver’s World is set to open a new £5.6million Woodland Retreat for families complete with themed accommodation and a spa.
The Woodland Retreat, an expansion to its Warrington resort, will offer a host of accommodation for families, including 69 woodland themed lodges, as well as a camping site and space for static caravans.
It will mark the first time that guests will be able to stay overnight at the resort.
As for entertainment? Parents will no doubt want to make use of the on-site spa, while kids will be able to enjoy a new Woodland Adventure Area, which is specifically designed so that “children and families are encouraged to enjoy the great outdoors”.
The company has been given the green light by local authorities to proceed with the expansion, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.
The retreat will also feature a ‘Pet Resort’ so families can bring their beloved fluffy friends along, and leave them in the specially-designed accommodation.
While it will be an expansion of the resort, the retreat will fall under the Gulliver’s Glades brand, which specifically focuses on holidays in the woodlands.
As such, the resort is being designed to sit within existing woodlands, with “the trees, flora, fauna and wildlife very much make up part of the attraction of the area”, according to the company’s website.
The new development isn’t the only addition to the Gulliver’s empire.
Earlier this year the brand, which caters to families with children aged 2-13, launched new theme park Gulliver’s Valley in Yorkshire.
The new park features heaps of outdoor activities including an animal petting farm, Digger Land and Western World, as well as the T-Rex water slides, Dinosaur Rodeo and the park’s biggest ride – the Apache Falls.
Indoors, kids will find climbing walls, a giant bouncy castle, interactive play areas, a mini driving school and even a refurbished vintage carousel.
