Jennifer Arcuri today repeatedly refused to deny having a sexual relationship with Boris Johnson in a bombshell first TV interview.
The Prime Minister’s former pal swerved the question at least five times in an eye-popping exchange on ITV’s Good Morning Britain.
Tech guru and former model Ms Arcuri exploded into headlines last month after it emerged was given access to three foreign trade trips and had Mr Johnson speak at four of her events when he was London mayor.
Mr Johnson has 24 hours to provide details of their relationship to a conflict-of-interests probe in the London Assembly – whose rules forbid favourable treatment to friends.
Despite the privileged access – which began after they met in October 2011 – Ms Arcuri today insisted “Boris never ever gave me favouritism”.
But she repeatedly refused to deny claims by acquaintances that they had a sexual relationship.
She refused to say how many times Mr Johnson visited her Shoreditch flat, which contained an office and a pole-dancing pole.
She said “yes he saw the pole” and jokingly refused to say if Mr Johnson danced on the pole himself, saying: “I’m never never going to tell you that.”
Asked if they had an intimate relationship, she told ITV’s Good Morning Britain: “It’s categorically no one’s business what private life we had, or didn’t have.”
Asked again, she snapped at host Piers Morgan: “Do you want me to talk about your sex life because I would love to ask you a few questions?”
And she said: “Because the press have made me this objectified ex-model pole dancer, I really am not going to answer that question.
“I’m not going to put myself in a position for you to weaponise my answer. I’m being used as a pawn.”
Eventually, she said: “I’m not answering, that’s my record.”
She said the question was not relevant, saying: “Categorically, Boris had nothing to do with all my other achievements”.
