Last minute Canary Islands holidays under £350pp including TUI and easyJet

Brits can once again go on holiday to the Canary Islands, after the hotspots were added to the UK’s travel corridors last week, meaning you won’t need to quarantine for 14 days when you return.

The Foreign Office has also changed its advice to allow for non-essential travel.

While the Canary Islands are usually a summer hotspot, they are also popular for those seeking some winter sun. Temperatures are cooler but still balmy, with plenty of sunshine to be had.

If you’re considering a getaway, the good news is that there are plenty of cheap last minute deals to be had.

We take a look at where you can find cheap getaways under £350pp – we’ve stuck to travel for late October and November due to the volatile nature of rules during the pandemic.

Where to find cheap Canary Islands holidays

A number of package holiday firms have relaunched getaways to the Canary Islands, and there are prices under £350pp to be found…

  • British Airways has packages to Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria which are under £350pp for a last-minute deal, as well as some cheap packages up for grabs in early 2021.
  • easyJet Holidays has packages from £243pp to the likes of Tenerife and Lanzarote, based on travel dates in November. These tend to be four-night or five-night break.
  • Lastminute has plenty of Canary Islands holidays under £300pp including Tenerife breaks from £127pp, Fuerteventura from £149pp, Lanzarote from £169pp, and Gran Canaria from £169pp. These are based on departures in late October and November.
  • Thomas Cook has packages from £168pp to the Canaries, based on departing from London airports in late November. We also found deals from £198pp for non-London airport departures.
  • TUI currently has holidays under £350pp for last-minute getaways in October and early November, often for seven-night breaks. (When we took a look, most of the deals were based on a London Gatwick or Birmingham departure but there were other airports included too).

If it’s just flights that you’re after, airlines such as easyJet, British Airways, Jet2, Ryanair and Wizz Air all offer budget-friendly fares to the Canary Islands.

Holidays during lockdown

Under the three-tier lockdown system, the government is advising Brits to avoid travelling if they are in one of the higher alert levels (Tier 2 and Tier 3) – we have a wider guide on holidays in three-tier lockdown where you can find more information.
