Sky Princess is making her big comeback to the UK, with the cruise ship set to sail from Southampton in 2021.
The Princess Cruises ship has previously been homeported in the US, but for 2021 she’ll be coming back to Britain, in a move that’s a result of ‘deployment changes’ amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
From Southampton, she’ll be sailing on a host of itineraries across the British Isles and the Baltics.
The cruise line said that the new itineraries are currently being created, and are set to go on sale later this month, although no exact date has yet been confirmed.
Her remaining planned Baltic sailings will be changing from a round-trip voyage from Copenhagen, to round-trips from Southampton.
As part of the new season, she will also be taking on 10 of sister ship Crown Princess’ British Isles sailings.
Because of these changes, some sailings across both ships have been cancelled, but the cruise line said it is contacting all passengers who will be affected by the changes. (Those who booked through travel agents will be contacted through the agents).
Princess Cruises, like many other cruise lines, has currently paused operations due to the coronavirus pandemic.
There are cancellations through to the 15th December 2020 – you can find out more on the Princess Cruises website.
