French publication L’Equipe stated earlier this week that both the Premier League champions and Real were in regular contact with Mbappe regarding a potential transfer in 2021.
Mbappe’s contract at PSG will have just 12 months remaining at the end of this season and he has hinted previously at a desire for a fresh challenge.
But any hopes Jurgen Klopp had of landing the French superstar appear to be false hope, according to Buyo.
“It looks like Liverpool are also interested, but I believe Mbappé has already made his decision [to join Madrid],”said Buyo, speaking on Spanish television program El Chiringuito .
Buyo – real name Francisco – spent 11 years with Madrid from 1986-1997 as a goalkeeper.
He has also held coaching roles at the club post-retirement.
Adding of Mbappe, he said: “Will it be next summer? We will see if he expects to end the contract, I do not know if he can handle the pressure or if he will accept any millionaire proposal that PSG will present to him.”

That certainly seems to be PSG’s intention, as the club’s sporting director Leonardo insisted previously the 21-year-old was a big part of their plans for the future along with strike partner Neymar,
“We want to continue with them,” Leonardo said earlier this month. “Everything is clear to everyone. We must continue with them.
“To have two players like that on the same team is huge. [Lionel] Messi and [Cristiano] Ronaldo were each in their own club.
“We have the two best players in the world after Messi and Ronaldo.”

Mbappe has since fired a warning to PSG though that they must invest in the squad this summer if they want to win the Champions League.
Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has also previously hinted openly at signing the forward, which could prove problematic to PSG’s plans.
Speaking in November, Zidane said: “At the moment he plays for Paris Saint-Germain, we’ll see in the future if that changes.
“I know he always said his dream is to play for Real Madrid.”
