Although it previously revealed the land would open in 2019, there hasn’t yet been an official opening date. Until now.
Jedis, get your lightsabers ready – Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is opening on the 31st May 2019 at the Disneyland park in Anaheim, California.
So if you’ve been holding off booking a holiday, you may want to start planning your visit as it’s bound to be popular!
Luckily, there are plenty of ways to find Disneyland California deals so you don’t need to blow all of your savings on a trip to Planet Batuu.
We’ve also put together a guide on everything we know so far about Disney’s new Star Wars offering including the theme, the rides, the costumes and even the food.
Looking to immerse guests into the world of Star Wars, it’s sure to be a hit with fans.
It will also be the only place in the Disney parks where adults can dress up as characters too, so you may want to dig out your best Resistance outfit and get ready to join in the action alongside characters including Rey, Finn, and Poe to BB-8 and Chewbacca.
Of course the land’s new rides are some of the most highly anticipated offerings as part of the expansion.
There will be two rides as part of the expansion, Millenium Falcon: Smugglers’ Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, as well as heaps more attractions for what promises to be a full immersive experience for guests.
To add to the effect, guests can download the Play Disney Parks app which will offer up missions, games and in-queue entertainment. (Think having to translate galactic languages, discover what’s in hidden crates and even interacting with droids!).
