Have you ever fancied a member of cabin crew during a flight, and wondered whether the attraction was mutual?
Well it turns out there is a way to tell, but you’ll have to pay close attention to what they say. As for the bad news? You won’t find out until it’s time to disembark.
The secret was revealed in a post that’s resurfaced from the Cabin Crew forum , and reveals flight attendants play the ‘Cheerio Game’ while passengers disembark – but you’ll want to listen closely to how they bid you farewell.
In response to one cabin crew member asking for in-flight game ideas, user who goes by LTN330 writes: “There’s the cheerio game you can play when passengers disembark.
“When you’re standing there going ‘buh-bye, thank you, take care’ etc when you see someone you fancy, you say ‘cheerio’ You need to do it with a buddy and the challenge is to keep a straight face.”
Of course by then it will be a little too late to spark a romance as you’ll be getting off the plane, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the little ego boost as you go on with your journey.
It’s worth noting that the Cheerio game suggestion was posted back in 2008, so no doubt some members of cabin crew have switched up the game and method of pointing out attractive passengers.
But luckily for us, some of these secrets have been revealed too, including the secret phrases they use in-flight to describe both attractive passengers and ones who have fallen out of their favour.
Of course you don’t want to fall into the latter, especially if you’re trying to stay on their good side – so make sure to avoid these top things which annoy flight attendants and chances are you’ll be in the good books.
