Both royals can often be found hitting the slopes during the winter seasons with friends and family, including trips to some of the British royals’ favourite ski resorts.
It seems that it was their late mother Princess Diana who sparked their love for the winter sport.
In fact, it was Diana who reportedly took both boys on their very first ski trip back in 1991, choosing the chic resort of Lech, Austria.
It was the first time that William and Harry were pictured on the slopes, and they seemed to be having a blast with their mother as they climbed mountains in chair lifts, steadied themselves on their skis and bravely took on the runs back back down the mountain.
The two boys looked adorable in their nearly-matching ski suits; William wearing a purple outfit with turquoise patches, Harry in a turquoise outfit with purple patches.
Meanwhile, Diana herself looked as elegant as ever in a chic red ensemble.
One picture shows the trio just before they headed down a slope, all turning back to face the camera, and the family resemblance is particularly striking!
Although Prince Charles is not featured in the pictures, he reportedly joined his family a few days later after completing a few royal engagements.
It’s no surprise that Lech was firmly on Diana’s radar for a family break.
The resort has over 350km of slopes for every type of skier you can imagine, so it’s ideal for complete beginners – and therefore was a handy setting to teach the boys some ski skills!
Then of course Lech itself makes for a beautiful setting thanks to its cosy alpine chalets, picturesque rivers and snow-capped mountains.
It seems that Prince William will be carrying on the tradition of family ski holidays. In fact, the Duke of Cambridge and his wife Kate Middleton have already enjoyed a snowy break to Courchevel with their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
