Inside the double decker bus transformed into unusual UK glamping spot

Sleeping in a double decker bus sounds like you’d do at the end of a long day (or after a big night out!).

However if you head to Yorkshire, you’ll find that you can do exactly that, only it will be a much more comfortable experience.

That’s because the Daisy Decker in Hollym Holiday Park is a double decker bus that’s been transformed into a two-bedroom holiday home, with everything you need for a cosy getaway.

The open plan home even boasts a living room, kitchen, dining area and bathroom; you could almost forget you’re actually in a bus.

Oh, and for when the British weather lets you down, there’s also a gas fire to add a bit of extra warmth.

It sleeps up to five people

For the sunnier days, there’s an enclosed garden with swings for the kids, as well as decking and a picnic bench for those who fancy a spot of al fresco dining.

What’s pretty quirky about the property is that it’s kept all of the original bus features too, from the handles for passengers to the driver’s seat!

Some of the original features have been kept such as the driver’s seat

Some of the original seats are also still in use, only they serve as the dining room and extra seating for the living area.

The bus can sleep up to five people, offering four beds; two doubles and two singles.

There’s an alfresco dining area too

Then of course those large windows mean you’ll get to enjoy some pretty spectacular views of the Yorkshire countryside.

Planning to do some exploring?

There’s a kitchen and a dining area

The seaside resort of Withernsea is nearby with plenty of playgrounds, amusement parks, and fish and chip shops, not to mention there are historic landmarks to be found from a lighthouse museum to a Napoleonic fortress.

Thinking of a stay? Prices for a seven-night stay start from £532 on Sykes Cottages . (That’s £106.40pp if you fill the property with five people).
