Inside the Four Seasons’ private jet that’s basically a luxury hotel in the sky

The Four Seasons hotel group has revealed it is launching a brand new private jet and, unsurprisingly, it’s as luxurious as the glamorous properties the company is renowned for.

The jet will be a new A321LR aircraft, part of the new Airbus NEO family, but it will be fully customised by the hotel chain.

We’re talking everything from 48 custom seats which offer heaps of leg room and can turn into fully-flat beds, personal ottomans, and even a bar and lounge area where passengers can stretch their legs.

Not to mention that the jet will offer the widest and tallest cabin in its class.

As for in-flight entertainment? Forget just having a small screen on which to watch films and TV shows.

The Four Seasons Private Jet will offer interactive workshops with chefs, mixologists, wellness experts and arts/culture experts all providing unique and quirky experiences to help pass the time.

Then there’s the food – and unsurprisingly it’s not the bland offering we’ve come to expect.

The seats transform into fully-flat beds

Instead, there will be an on-board Four Seasons Executive Chef preparing menus, as well as culinary surprises for guests.

Other staff members include a Four Seasons Concierge, Director of Guest Experience, Physician, and Four Seasons-trained in-flight crew.

Passengers will have to wait a while before they can check it out for themselves however, as the plane isn’t set to take to the skies until 2021.

Four Seasons says that currently the jet’s itineraries are “in development and will also be unveiled in 2019”.

The cabin looks seriously swanky

Of course in the meantime there are plenty of airlines offering up seriously glamorous seats, from Virgin Atlantic’s upcoming A350 suites to Emirates’ First Class cabin which has been named the best in the world.

Even the bathrooms will have a bit more space and luxurious touches

Christian Clerc, President, Worldwide Hotel Operations, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, said: “The Four Seasons Private Jet experience defines modern luxury air travel, encouraging meaningful connections between people and places while delivering a seamless and highly personalised journey.

Passengers will have personal ottomans opposite their seats

“Building on the tremendous success of our Private Jet program to date, with consistent sell outs, waitlists, and near perfect guest satisfaction rates, our drive to continuously innovate and push the conventional limits of travel has led to this new opportunity to experience Four Seasons like never before.”
