Parkdean Resorts’ holiday parks across the UK will be getting brand new accommodation for 2019.
The firm has unveiled a £22.5million investment to enhance the caravans and lodges, with more than 760 new caravans set to be introduced, along with £4.4million worth of refurbishments.
That will include a host of new one-bedroom caravans specifically designed for couples, as well as pet-friendly offerings.
Meanwhile, a further £1.5million will be invested into 18 new luxury lodges which will be rolled out across eight locations. Hot tubs will also be added to a number of existing lodges.
There will be a series of new three- and four-bedroom lodges in some of the parks too such as Ruda Holiday Park while will open four new lodges in 2019.
It’s all part of a wider £40.7million investment for the brand, although the company revealed its primary focus is to update its accommodation.
Chief executive John Waterworth commented: “It is with great pride that we announce a further significant investment across our parks this year, ahead of the 2019 season.
“Work is already underway to bring in these changes to accommodation, retail, entertainment and many other elements that make up the Parkdean Resorts experience, which we continue to build upon while listening to customer feedback and reacting to market demand.
“We’re looking forward to hearing how our holidaymakers and holiday home owners receive the enhancements we’re making.”
The investment will also see upgrades made to the parks’ retail and leisure facilities, alongside new play area equipment.
Some of the parks such as Devon’s Challaborough Bay, Newquay in Cornwall, Grannie’s Heilan’ Hame in Scotland and Ocean Edge in Lancashire will all welcome newly-installed adventure playgrounds with trim trails, cradle swings, rope walks and climbing towers.
