If approved the superhero themed restaurant, named DC Universe, will replaced MASH Steakhouse on London’s Brewer Street.
But it won’t just be an eatery with a few DC Comics inspired touches; get ready for a full on immersive experience.
Diners will get the choice of five different sections all inspired by the DC Universe, from Gotham City to Metropolis.
We’re talking a fine dining zone, a dining area, a dedicated ‘immersive dining experience’ and even a lounge bar called Pennyworth’s, in tribute to Batman’s beloved butler Alfred.
One we’re particularly excited about? The zone dedicated to street food called ‘Arkham Asylum’ based on the psychiatric hospital in the Batman comics.
The application explains that the restaurant won’t feature large sets and costumes from the franchise, but instead will “invite guests to experience the DC universe without breaking the fourth wall – the imaginary wall that separates the audience from the performance”.
Apparently a “high-end restaurateur” is behind the plans for the restaurant – we can’t help but feel like Bruce Wayne would approve.
Comic book fans will have to wait a while longer before they can experience it for themselves, as the plans have only just been put forward for consideration from Westminster City Council.
Of course there’s also a chance that the council could choose to reject the plans completely – it’s believed that a decision will be reached by April.
In the meantime, foodies could get their fill by heading to one of the UK’s best restaurants for 2019 , or if it’s a London-specific eatery you’re after, we’ve rounded up the best food spots in the English capital according to diners’ reviews.
