A trip to the Arctic Circle makes for a pretty epic winter break – add in stays in ice hotels and igloo suites, and it becomes a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
To help you make the dream a reality, we’ve teamed up with Wowcher on an exclusive deal on Lapland holidays, with two nights exploring the best of what Santa’s second home has to offer.
You’ll be spending both nights in the breathtaking SnowHotel, one night in one of its breathtaking ice suites, and the other in a glass igloo with unrivalled views of the landscape.
The holiday package is offered by Crystal Travel with prices from £399pp including your hotel stay, breakfast and flights – making for a saving of up to 21 per cent compared to usual rates.
Need to spread out the cost of your holiday? You can secure the booking with a £199pp deposit.
The deal is already live on the Wowcher website, but you’ll need to book by Wednesday 7th November when the exclusive offer expires.
The glass igloos boast wooden lodge walls and glass ceilings so you get total privacy, while simultaneously getting to enjoy the unrivalled views of the Arctic Sky – and if you’re lucky on a clear night, you might even be able to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights!
The igloos even come with an ‘Aurora Alarm’ to wake you up so all you need to do is open your eyes and take in the night skies.
The igloo village is set in the heart of a pine forest so you’re far enough away from light pollution, making for some breathtaking starry night views.
Meanwhile the SnowHotel itself also makes for a unique stay. One of the largest hotels of its kind in the Nordic region, the building is carved out of ice and snow, and can sleep up to 70 people.
Room temperatures are kept between 0-5 degrees so you can enjoy the icy artwork, but there are plush and cosy sleeping bags with plenty of fluffy blankets to keep you warm and snuf throughout the night.
The hotel also boasts a picturesque location on the edge of a lake, and the rooms also boast Aurora Alarms so if the Northern Lights do appear, you won’t miss out because you were snoozing.
