Yorkshire is getting a brand new theme park and it’s sure to be a hit with families!
Gulliver’s Valley, a new venture from Gulliver’s Theme Parks , will open in Rother Valley in south Yorkshire, about half an hour’s drive from Sheffield.
The resort will feature over 70 rides and attractions such as an indoor water play area, indoor climbing centre, and even one of Gulliver’s popular Blast Arena attractions.
Families will also be able to make the most of the spectacular surroundings on the 250 acre site, thanks to the themed nature trails, woodland adventure centre and even ‘forest classrooms’ where woodland crafts and outdoor adventures await.
So far, Gulliver’s Theme Park hasn’t shared too much information about exactly which rides will feature on site, but we reckon it could quickly become a strong contender for the UK’s best theme parks for small children .
But it’s not just day tripper which the resort plans to cater to.
As part of the £37million venture, Gulliver’s plans to offer up a host of accommodation options ranging from a stylish hotel with themed rooms (princesses and pirates are on the cards), to self-catering woodland lodges and treehouses.
The best part is that you won’t need to wait long to go and explore it all for yourself.
Construction on Gulliver’s Valley has already begun, with the first phase of the park expected to open to the public in spring 2020.
Meanwhile, the park has already started hiring staff having recently just closed applications for Duty Manager positions on the site.
No doubt it will be similar to the other Gulliver’s Theme Parks to be found throughout the UK, including Gulliver’s World Warrington, Gulliver’s Kingdom Matlock Bath and Gulliver’s Land Milton Keynes.
According to the company, the new Gulliver’s Valley will be its biggest venture to date in its 40-year history.
Can’t wait until next year? Why not check out some of the new rides and attractions coming to UK theme parks for 2019?
