A new safari experience in the UK will let visitors book overnight stays in luxury lodges – from which they can watch elephants and cheetahs.
The West Midlands Safari Park is set to launch eight new swanky lodges, with direct views of both its African elephants’ and cheetahs’ habitats.
The lodges are currently being built, but concept imagery from the park has offered a glimpse of what they will look like – and it’s pretty swanky.
The elephant lodges include open-plan living room with a dining area, spacious bedrooms and a bathroom. There’s even outdoor seating so you can take in the scenery on those sunnier days/late summer evenings.
Oh, and of course, floor-to-ceiling windows so you can take in the direct views of the animals as they wander around (you won’t even need to leave your bed!).
Out of the eight lodges, two will be offering views of the cheetahs, also featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and eye-catching interiors.
As if that’s not enough to make this a bucket list stay, guests will also be treated to heaps of extra perks when they book short breaks, including a chef on and to whip up delicious meals, exclusive views of the animals, and of course, admission to the Safari Park and its attractions.
The safari lodges were originally planned to open in summer 2020 but this has been pushed back due to the pandemic, with a new opening date planned for February 2021.
Bookings haven’t yet opened and the park has remained tight-lipped about how much stays will cost, but if you are interested then it’s worth keeping an eye on the West Midlands Safari Park website for more updates.
